TDLR Residential Solar Retailers Stakeholder Work Group
Senate Bill 1036, 89th Legislature, directed TDLR to create a Residential Solar Retailers Stakeholder Work Group:
SECTION 4. As soon as practicable after the effective date of this Act, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shall establish and lead a stakeholder work group to provide advice and recommendations to the department on regulating activities governed by Chapter 1806, Occupations Code, as added by this Act. The department shall establish the size, composition, and scope of the stakeholder work group.
The stakeholder work group is composed of residential/commercial sales retailers, utility representatives, an electrical contractor, three consumer representatives, and four ex-officio member positions representing several state agencies. The work group is appointed by TDLR’s Executive Director.
These work group members play a critical role in supporting TDLR’s mission by providing technical knowledge, industry expertise, and real-world insight to the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation and agency staff.
All work group meetings will be recorded and posted on TDLR’s YouTube channel.
