Discussion and possible recommendation for publication of proposed amendments to existing rules at 16 Texas Administrative Code (TAC), Chapter 65, Subchapter A, §65.2, and Subchapter I, §65.64, regarding the Boiler program. The proposed amendments would implement recommendations from the Board of Boiler Rules, the Extensions Task Group, staff, and stakeholders for specific conditions qualifying for the extension of an internal inspection interval in accordance with Texas boiler law, Health and Safety Code §755.026, and add four related definitions.
  9. Discussion and possible recommendation for adoption of amendments to existing rules at 16 Texas Administrative Code (TAC), Chapter 65, Subchapter A, §65.2; Subchapter C, §65.13; Subchapter N, §§65.206 and 65.214; Subchapter O, §65.300; and Subchapter R, §§65.603 and 65.607, regarding the Boiler program. The proposed amendments require a boiler room carbon monoxide detection and interlock system for future boiler installations and make additional clarifications for consistency. This agenda item includes discussion of public comments received on the proposed amendments and those related to the most recent four-year review of the boiler program rules.
