Weather modification licenses and permits must be renewed through TDLR CORE, our online licensing system, which replaces the previous paper renewal application. TDLR CORE is fast, secure, and easy to use.

Renew a Weather Modification License — $750
Pay the $750 fee online and submit the following:
- The name, business address, telephone number, and occupation (if different from the applicant’s) for each of the qualified meteorologists who will make the day-to-day decisions and carry out the proposed weather modification operation described in the notice of intent.
- A completed Weather Modification Qualification Statement for each technical or scientific person whose qualifications are to be considered for a Texas Weather Modification license.

Renew a Weather Modification Permit — $750
Pay the $750 fee online and submit the following:
- The applicant’s name, business address, telephone number, and email address.
- The number of the valid Texas Weather Modification License supporting the permit.
- The name, business address, telephone number, and occupation (if different from the applicant’s) for each of the qualified meteorologists who will make the day-to-day decisions and carry out the proposed weather modification operation described in the notice of intent.
- A brief statement describing the purpose of the proposed weather modification operation.
- A list of the newspapers where the Notice of Intention will be published, once a week for three weeks.
