Certified Manufacturer Information Packet
The following documents and forms contain information certified Texas IHB manufacturers need in order to comply with the requirements of the Texas IHB program. Documents may be copied as necessary.
Occupations Code, Chapter 1202, Industrialized Housing and Buildings.
The Chapter 70 rules governing Industrialized Housing and Buildings.
The "In Plant Inspection Program." This document describes the procedures to be followed when performing an in plant inspection for the Texas IHB program. Reference rules 70.61 and 70.51.
The "Building Site Inspection Program." This document outlines the procedures to be followed when performing a site (installation) inspection. Reference rules 70.62 and 70.73.
Manufacturer's Monthly Summary report form, #IHB400.
Certification label forms:
- Decal order form, #IHB400. Use this form to order decals for certification of modular units; or
- Insignia order form, #IHB305. Use this form to order insignia for certification of modular components (kitchen, bathroom and similar modular components). The fee is based on square feet per floor area of component; or
- Insignia order form, #IHB304. Use this form to order insignia for modular components (wall panels, floor panels, roof panels, etc.). The fee is based on square feet per surface area of component.
An information packet for those who are allowed to apply for an installation permit in lieu of an industrialized builder’s registration can be found here. Please note that if you’re customer is a retailer (sell or lease) of industrialized housing and building, then they cannot file for an installation permit.
