TDLR’s recent amendment of 16 Tex. Admin. Code Section 70.100(a) (Texas Administrative Code (state.tx.us)) misstated the date on which compliance with the updated editions of the relevant codes will be required. The correct date is May 14, 2024, not April 1, 2024. We apologize for the error and will address it in a future rulemaking.
Construction of industrialized housing and buildings, modules, and modular components begun before May 13, 2024, may comply with the 2015 editions of the International codes, the 2014 edition of the National Electrical Code and their specific amendments.
