Closed Driver Education Schools

I Drive Driving Academy

On Thursday, February 15, 2023, the department received a tip that C3435 IDrive Driving Academy located in Mansfield Texas closed without notification to parents and to the department. The records will be delivered to the department at the beginning of April. Once the records are processed, they will be mailed to the address listed on the enrollment contract.  The department will then file on the $10,000.00 school bond, refunds will be based on the number of hours the student completed at the school and by the total number of students affected by the closure. 

Driving School of Mansfield

C2731 Driving School of Mansfield closed at the end of February 2024. The records will be delivered to the department at the beginning of April.  Once the records are processed, they will be mailed to the address listed on the enrollment contract.  The department will then file on the $10,000.00 school bond, refunds will be based on the number of hours the student completed at the school and by the total number of students affected by the closure. 

Student Records

Students who are needing to transfer their hours from the closed school to another school and do not have copies of their records, will need the Verification of Instruction document from TDLR. This is issued once the department has sorted through the records.
