How to Submit an Expedited Plan Review

The steps required to submit an Expedited Plan Review are the same as for a regular plan review. The primary difference is the processing time. Please see the How to Submit a Plan Review page.

An expedited plan review costs $1,000. TDLR will complete the plan review and submit the results back to you within five (5) business days of receipt. Each approved plan review will be sent to you by email. You will also receive a copy for your records by regular mail, which may take longer to arrive.

If your expedited plan review cannot be approved without additional information or changes to the plan as submitted, you will receive an email or a phone call, and the plan review will be placed “on hold” until we receive the requested items.

You are encouraged, but not required, to submit your Expedited Plan Review form, fee, and drawings/scope of work by overnight mail.
