Point of Sale Terminals and ATMs

If you are a merchant, you are required to report skimmers found on point of sales and ATMs, other than Motor Fuel Devices (Fuel Pumps), to the Texas Financial Crimes Intelligence Center (FCIC).

If you are a merchant and need to report a skimmer found on a Point of Sale device such as a cash register, vending machine, car wash, etc., that is NOT a fuel pump, or to report a skimmer on an ATM, please report it to the FCIC.

Report a Non-Fuel Pump Point of Sale or ATM Skimmer to the Financial Crimes Intelligence Center here.

If you are a member of the public and wish to file a report of suspected skimmer on a Point of Sale terminal or an ATM, you should notify the merchant immediately and then contact local law enforcement that has jurisdiction over the location.
