Mold Assessors and Remediators Continuing Education

The following licensees are required to complete a mold remediation worker continuing education course with the required continuing education hours provided by an accredited mold training provider, a licensed mold remediation contractor or a licensed mold remediation company:

(1) mold assessment technician license – 8 hours

(2) mold assessment consultant license – 8 hours

(3) mold remediation contractor license – 8 hours

(4) mold remediation worker registration – 4 hours

Continuing Education Audit

TDLR shall select for audit a random sample of mold assessors and remediators for each renewal month. If selected for an audit, then you will be notified at the time of your renewal. You will be required to submit copies of certificates, transcripts or other documentation to verify attendance, participation and completion of continuing education requirements. Your registration will not be renewed until continuing education requirements have been met.

You are responsible for maintaining a record of your continuing education experiences or certificates. If you are selected for audit, then you will be notified and records will be required to be submitted to the department.
