Rules Adopted by Reference: Program Guides

On August 10, 2021, the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation adopted proposed rules relevant to curriculum requirements for driver training courses.

This change transfers rule text from 16 TAC Ch. 84, to Department-created program guides for use by licensees.

The guides are to be used in conjunction with the Driver Education & Safety Administrative Rules, 16 TAC Chapter 84 and Texas Education Code, Chapter 1001 when creating a driver education, driving safety, or drug and alcohol awareness course.

Rulemaking Actions
